Orbit started as an internal tool for OnlineCaptain, a small services business that was tired of running itself out of spreadsheets, chat threads and a dozen half-connected apps. Every client lived in one place, every invoice in another, and nobody could say with confidence what was actually outstanding on a given day.

So we built the tool we wished existed: one workspace that understood how a small service business actually operates — a lead becomes a client, a quotation becomes an invoice, an invoice gets paid (eventually), and your team only ever sees what their role says they should.

Why we're opening it up

Once Orbit was running our own business, it became obvious the same chaos plays out at every small agency, studio and freelance practice we talked to. We're opening Orbit up to other small business owners who want the same clarity, without having to build it themselves.

What we believe

Small business software shouldn't require an implementation team. Orbit is built to be usable on day one, honest about what it costs, and respectful of the fact that your business data is yours — a business's data stays isolated to that business, always.
