Questions small business owners ask us most.
Do I need a registered business to sign up?
No. Creating an Orbit account only needs your name, email and password — you get a personal space immediately, and can add a business workspace later, whenever you're ready.
Is my business's data separate from other businesses on Orbit?
Yes. Every business workspace is fully isolated — there's no way for one business's clients, invoices or team to be visible to another.
Can I use Orbit for more than one business?
Yes. You can create multiple business workspaces under one account and switch between them, each with its own clients, team and data.
Does Orbit handle GST?
Yes. Quotations and invoices calculate GST automatically at your configured rate, so every invoice is GST-ready from the moment it's created.
Can I control what my team members see?
Yes. Every teammate you invite gets a role — one of the four built-in defaults, or a fully custom one you build yourself — that decides exactly which parts of Orbit they can view, add, edit or delete.
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet — Orbit is a web app that works well on a phone browser, so you can check on things on the go without installing anything.
What happens to my personal finances if I add a business?
Nothing — your Personal space (your own expenses, income, tasks and documents) always stays separate from any business you run, even if you're the only person in that business too.
Can I cancel or delete a business later?
Yes. As the business's Owner, you can rename it or delete it entirely whenever you like — deleting shows you exactly what will be removed before you confirm.
